Making Information Easier to Use and Understand
It is important that everyone can get information they understand in the way that is easiest for them to use. When information works for people with disability it works for everyone. This presentation will empower you to make your information easier to understand. We will do this by using techniques such as writing in plain language, laying information out in a clear and uncluttered way, and making the best use of pictures. We will also talk about making information more accessible by using tools like high contrast larger print, word documents instead of PDF, text descriptive images, having information read out by people who have a learning disability and making captioning a rule.
