Dr Diana Cousens is the Former Vice-Chair of the Buddhist Council of Victoria. She’ll be presenting at the conference on ‘Checking Access – Raising Awareness’.
A few years ago the Australian Buddhist community adopted a policy to assist people with a disability to have access to places of worship. With a publication in seven languages they tried to reach a very diverse community. The publication included a statement of intent and a checklist. In this presentation she will focus on the checklist and the free things that temples can adopt to assist disability access to temples.
